Learning Social Skills in a collaborative environment.
This course is offered to students in SCORES, SBS and Life skills.
Students learn skills to gain employment in the community e.g., application processes, resume' writing, and interviewing skills. This course is open to students who will graduate on an IEP graduation plan. This course pairs well with Clifton center courses and Life Skills community based instruction courses.
Students get hands-on work experience at a variety of internships to include restaurants, grocery stores and retail stores. Students also have other community experiences such as adult centers, parks, libraries and bowling alleys.
Clifton offers courses in Agricultural Technology (Welding), Culinary Arts, and Health Science. Students complete a sequence of courses within a chosen program of study that incorporates classroom instruction, hands-on labs, and internships designed to meet personal transition goals.
Students learn daily living skills such as cooking, laundry, house keeping, paper shredding and courier work.
