MAP Scores-Percentile Conversions
MAP scores are based on grade-level rank relating to the student's achievement percentile. The top 6% receive 100 points, top 12% 80 points, top 18% 60 points, top 24% 40 points, and everyone else 20 points.
AISD Advanced Academic Services has a department that assists in converting the RIT scores to points for each campus. They are the ones that used research to identify the top 6% getting 100 points, top 12% 80 points....the number of students in each group varies from campus to campus...creating a campus norm for the school year. Each year the campus norm is different because it is based on the current students in that grade.
