Research question: Was the Mexican-American War justified? You will need to argue both sides (FOR and AGAINST) and provide citations to support your claim. Please feel free to use the resources below. 

Civil War research assignment- Research ANY Civil War topic (person/place/event from 1861-1877), use credible resources provided below. Refer to the timelines below of the Civil War to gain an understanding of the people, places, and events that will help you select your topic. Some examples include: 

• Military leaders (Grant, Lee, Sherman, etc.)

• Political figures (Lincoln, Davis, etc.)

• Major battles (Gettysburg, Antietam, etc.)

• Abolitionists/enslaved people (e.g., Douglass, Tubman)

• Home front/civilians (nurses, draft riots, female spies)

• Reconstruction (Freedmen's Bureau, amendments, etc.)
