Meet the Director

Tucker Ewer

Tucker Ewer took the reigns as the Director of Orchestras at Anderson in June of 2021 after spending two years as an assistant band director for the Trojan Band.

He launched his teaching career in Arizona before returning to his home state of Colorado, where he taught for two years at Arvada High School in Colorado.

During his time at Conifer, the orchestra program more than doubled in size, allowing for the creation of the first advanced orchestra ensemble in school history. Both the Chamber Orchestra and Concert Orchestra received Superior ratings at contest under Mr. Ewer's direction. At the end of the 2017-2018 school year, Mr. Ewer was selected by the Conifer staff, students, and community as the Schwartz Leadership Award Winner.

In addition to working in public education, Mr. Ewer was the Musical Director for the Golden Eagle Concert Band (an adult community group) from 2015-2018.

Mr. Ewer is incredibly excited to have the opportunity to work with both the Anderson Band and Orchestra for the 2021-2022 school year.

Mr. Ewer lives in Austin with his fiancee Laura, who is a music therapist in the greater Austin area. They have a small zoo of 4 cats and a dog who never fail to add excitement and joy to their days!
