Founded in 2014 with just 15 dedicated students, our Ballet Folklórico has grown into a vibrant community that celebrates the beauty and traditions of Mexican culture through dance. From our humble beginnings, we have worked to create a space where students can connect with their heritage, express themselves artistically, and share the joy of folklórico with the community.
Over the years, our dancers have showcased their talent and hard work on many stages. In 2019, we proudly earned 3rd place at Baile de mi Tierra, and in 2020, we reached a milestone by taking 1st place. Our commitment to excellence has also led us to perform at prestigious events such as the AISD Latino Achievement Awards in both 2024 and 2025, and at the Mexican Consulate.
We’ve been honored with invitations to special events, including the Folklórico Extravaganza at Texas State University and Día de los Muertos celebrations at Hays High School. Each performance is an opportunity to preserve tradition, inspire pride, and share the rich cultural stories of Mexico with audiences of all ages.
Today, our Ballet Folklórico continues to thrive as a family of passionate dancers, instructors, and supporters who are dedicated to keeping this beautiful art form alive for generations to come.
