Updates/Reminders
Dear Families,
Here are a couple of reminders and needs.
Restock School Supplies
Please restock your student's pencil pouch with pencils, markers, and glue sticks. Also if your student does not have headphones, please send another pair.
Smart Watches and Phones
Thank you for supporting us and instructing your child to place their phones and smartwatches in their backpacks.
Chromebooks kept at school
We are requesting students to keep their devices at school. Students can access our content remotely via any device by going through their student portal. If a student is routinely not finishing work, we would like to partner with you to find a different solution. Our office does not have loaner devices to supply our students.
Rubik's cubes, fidgets, slime and slinkys
Teachers would appreciate your encouragement of your children keeping these items at home.

Next week:
Reading- Biography research has concluded and we will begin crafting next week. I can't wait to see these American historical figures "come to life". We are also hoping to finish reading Bridge to Terabithia. Thank you for bringing in 2 liter bottles and for signing up to help craft.
Writing- Students will rehearse U.S. Historical Figure Presentations.
Social Studies- We will learn about the 50 states & capitals.
Math- Check your student's Personal Learning Path on our 5th Grade BCE Math website. Please ask your student to share their "Progress Monitoring" sheet with you for updated data. Feel free to practice your math fluency using Quizlet or 99 math

Another note from Cultural Kaleidoscope:
Hello 5th grade parents!
As you probably know, our 1st Annual Cultural Kaleidoscope is coming up and just a week away!
We have a fun opportunity for our 4th and 5th grade students (as well as any older siblings) and we're asking for some helpers during the event!
They would be helping in fun, easy tasks such as:
-taking snapshot photos at our photo booth
-passing out passports and maps/programs at our welcome table
-greeting people as a door greeter
-floaters for any one-off needs
This is a great opportunity for students to show their leadership skills in a fun way for their school!
If you could please fill out this quick form letting us know your student's availability to help, we would greatly appreciate it!
Student Helpers for Cultural Kaleidoscope Form
