Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)
Through Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), faculty can create and offer an asynchronous or synchronous module within an existing course in collaboration with an international partner. This gives students the opportunity to engage meaningfully with peers from around the world without the expense of studying abroad or the need to travel. It is a way to bring global education into the classroom and provide students with a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience.
