Requirements to Join
Completed at least one Creative Writing, English, or Literature class (INRW classes do not count) with a B or higher
Completed at least one semester and earned at least twelve credits (dual credit students are eligible to join)
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
Pay the one-time National Dues fee of $30

Officer Positions Available
SKD at ACC Officers:
create SKD Constitution and assist with making SKD at ACC a recognized student organization
help facilitate creative and scholarly panel or paper submissions to journals and conferences
help plan bi-yearly induction ceremony of new members
plan academic, social, and volunteering events
President
presides at chapter and officer meetings
initiates activities and helps plan events
appoints committees
lends continuity to the chapter
sees that jobs are distributed among as many members as possible
presides over bi-yearly induction ceremony of new members
Vice-President/President-Elect
presides at chapter and officer meetings when president is absent
assists President at meetings and other events
assists with bi-yearly induction ceremony of new members
prepares to become next chapter president
Secretary
keeps minutes during meetings
keeps meeting attendance records
relays information, news about upcoming events, and other relevant communication to active and alum chapter members via email, social media, newsletter, and/or other platforms
Treasurer
works with chapter advisor(s) to maintain chapter budget and handle all chapter-related money matters
assists with any fundraising efforts
Historian
maintains archive (including video and images) of chapter history
help maintain the SKD at ACC Google Site and calendar of upcoming events
