Click on "Get Started."
Click "Create Account."
Select the appropriate options in the drop-down boxes:
United States
Student
University/Post-Secondary (Note: If you select any other option here, you will not be able to find the correct school name and proceed in Step 7.)
Your date of birth
Click "Next."
Enter your information (use your ACC email) and click "Create Account." You will receive a verification email.
Click the "Verify Email" button in the email you receive.
Click "Done."
Enter the institution name:
Austin Community College District (Austin, TX)
Enter your enrollment dates, then click "Next."
Click "Continue."
When you try to sign in and download your software, you will likely see the message in red. Click the word "uploading" in the message.
Click "Drag documents here, or browse" and upload proof of enrollment that includes your name, institution name, and course dates. A screenshot of your class schedule is recommended, which can be found in the MyACC portal under "My Class Schedule." Click "Submit."
You should receive an email within 20 minutes confirming your eligibility. Click "Get Products" in the email or navigate back to the education page here.
Scroll down to the software you need (3DS Max and/or Maya), click "Get product," click the arrow next to "Install," and click "Download." (3DS Max's installer is broken into several large files - 4 files for 2021. If all do not download, disable your pop-up blocker and try again.)
Once your software is downloaded, run the installer. (The installation for 3DS Max and Maya are nearly identical. 3DS Max will be used as the example.)
In the "Extract To" window, click "OK."
Select "I agree..." and click "Next."
Click "Next."
With all options selected, click "Install." (For Maya, the options will be Arnold, Bifrost, and Substance.)
If all components install successfully, you'll see a check mark next to each. Click "Start."
Click "Sign in with your Autodesk ID."
Enter your ACC email and click "Next."
Enter your password and click "Sign In."
Click "OK."
Click "Continue."
