There have been and will continue to be new features and bug fixes added to the app over time. We won't mention everything here, but will mention things that are particularly notable.
Upon completion of an evaluation, Dean's signature, and generation of a PDF version, the final PDF version is archived in the Summary system, but a copy is also automatically placed into the faculty member's personnel file in Box (maintained by Human Resources). Faculty, Department Chairs, and Deans can access previous evaluations within the Faculty Evaluation Summary system (no need to access Box), but then are also accessible to HR in Box without any need to access the Summary system.
Department Chairs and Reviewers can now attach one PDF file to a form if desired during the evaluation process. (Department Chairs and Deans can also attach separate PDF files after a conference with the faculty member, if desired.) All of these PDF's will be attached after the Faculty Evaluation Summary form in the final version of the PDF that is archived.
Deans and AVC's can view reports on the status of their departments. For each of their departments, they can see how many faculty are in each status level, allowing them to track the progress of each of their departments. These forms can be displayed in terms of number of faculty in each status or percentage. They are also downloadable as .csv files.
AVC's can now log in to view the status of each of their departments.
Faculty Search for Deans, AVC's, Department Chairs. This allows Deans, AVC's, Department Chairs to view the current status of any faculty member in their area and to view the archived Summary Forms for that faculty (i.e., after their Summary Form has been completed and signed by the Dean).
Teaching evaluations for Department Chairs and Deans. The new process has been implemented so that the Faculty Evaluation Summary form for Deans and Department Chairs are automatically routed appropriately. Both of them start with the Department Chair assigning a reviewer. The Dean's form will then move to the Department Chair for modification and signature. After going to the Dean for acknowledgement it will be forwarded to theirr AVC for final approval and sign-off. The Department Chair's form will move from the Reviewer to the Dean for modification and signature. After going to the Department Chair for acknowledgement it will be forwarded to the AVC for final approval and sign-off.
Sorting and filtering on the main page (for Department Chairs and Deans). Now, if you wort by a column, that sort will be remembered even after you go in and work on some evaluations. Also, if you click on the little drop-down menu boxes under certain column headings, you can filter on that column (i.e., filter to show only adjunct faculty, or only people in Year 2 of the cycle, etc.).
Dean's signature process is streamlined. Starting shortly (by Fall 2026), Deans will no longer go in to Box to sign forms; they will sign within the app itself, like Department Chairs do. The pdf will the be generated in Box afterwards, which should speed up the process for you.
Saved signatures. Starting shortly (by Fall 2026), Deans and Department Chairs (maybe others) can sign a form and click on "Save Signature". The next time they need to sign, they can click on "Use Saved" to remember that signature. (Suggestion: if you are finding it hard to draw a respectable signature with your mouse/trackpad, try signing in to the form from an iPad or a tablet and use the pencil/pen to save a signature there.) This means people with large departments don't have to spend as much time on the signatures.
Bug where Faculty Response comments were not visible to the Department Chair after faculty signature has been fixed.
