2025 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
VIRTUAL 1M | 5K | 10K | 13.1 | 26.2
Celebrate International Women’s Day (March 8) by participating in a virtual run or walk at your own pace and location. Choose from distances of 1M, 5K, 10K, 13.1, or 26.2 miles, and complete your race anytime in March 2025—or on March 8 to mark the occasion! A portion of each registration supports Dress for Success, an organization dedicated to empowering women through professional development and economic independence. All participants will receive a medal and bib, with shipments beginning on February 15. Register now to receive a lower rate.
UNSUNG: CELEBRATING FEMALE MUSICAL THEATRE WRITERS
Unsung: Celebrating Female Musical Theatre Writers honors the contributions of female and gender nonconforming composers and lyricists in a one-night musical celebration. Hosted by Susan Johnston Taylor and Kirsten Boyd, this event showcases songs by trailblazers like Betty Comden, Mary Rodgers, Shaina Taub, and Barlow & Bear, alongside works from emerging voices. Through song and storytelling, Johnston Taylor reflects on how these creators shaped musical theatre and her own journey as a neurodivergent artist. Featuring cabaret favorites and hidden gems, this unforgettable evening shines a spotlight on the voices redefining the stage.

HOLDING SPACE: A VIRTUAL COMMUNITY EVENT CENTERING BLACK WOMEN
Holding Space is a virtual monthly gathering designed to provide Black women with a safe and affirming space for reflection, healing, and connection. Taking place typically on the last Sunday of each month, this live-only session fosters supportive dialogue through guided discussions on healing, joy, and personal growth. Participants engage in mindfulness practices, breathwork, and journaling exercises while receiving practical tools for self-care and emotional well-being. Centering the experiences of Black women, this space offers an intentional pause to connect, share, and find community in a judgment-free environment.

WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH OPEN HOUSE
The Cathedral presents a special Women’s History Month Open House, showcasing a new exhibit featuring works by 26 local women artists alongside new pieces from the atxGALS collective. This collection of love letters to women, with one piece from each artist, celebrates the power, beauty, and complexity of womanhood. Guests can enjoy complimentary craft cocktails, meet the artists, and explore original artwork and prints available for purchase. An exclusive, limited-access artist talk offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process before the exhibit opens to the public.

Celebrate the sweet success of Queen Esther by learning to make Hamantaschen, the traditional triangular pastries enjoyed during Purim.
