OUR RHYTHMS, OUR VOICES FEATURING JAVIER JARA WITH AUSTIN UNCONDUCTED
Ecuadorian singer-songwriter Javier Jara teams up with the 18-piece, string orchestra Austin Unconducted to present an orchestral rendition of the Our Rhythms, Our Voices project. For the project, Javier Jara and his team interviewed Latin American immigrants in the United States from all walks of life and turned those interviews into songs using a rhythm from the person’s homeland. The concert and the project aim to celebrate Latin American immigrants in their diversity, cultural heritage, and contributions to this country and beyond. LA FIESTA DE INDEPENENCIA DE MEXICO
Celebrate Mexican Independence Day at this free and family-friendly event! This day marks the 214th anniversary of the declaration of independence from Spain by the Mexican priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla. The highlight of the evening will be when Consul General of Mexico Humberto Hernández Haddad reenacts the cry for independence. Entertainment will feature the Roy Lozano Ballet Folclórico and Mariachi Capital. The event will include an artisan mercado with art and arts and crafts from México.

The second day of Centroamericanto Fest is dedicated to Central American films. Two short movies and a documentary will be shown. Salvadoran film Desconexion is a fiction short by Cristina Melendez, the Guatemalan Indigenous short film K´ULUB´ÏK a posthumous homage to its director Julio Apopa, and last the full feature documentary El Sentido de las Cuerdas by Salvadoran Marcela Zamora.

On the final day of Centroamericanto Fest, enjoy a special concert titled Costa Rica Canta, featuring top Costa Rican artists. They’ll be joined by fellow Costa Ricans Mario Álvarez on bass and Gabriel Gutiérrez on percussion.

TRÓPICOS - EP RELEASE CONCERT
Salvadoran singer-songwriter Mauricio Callejas will unveil the last songs of his new EP Trópicos. Mauricio will also perform songs from his 2022 album Veinte which never had an EP release party on its own. Come and enjoy this unique opportunity to listen to these songs performed by a live band at the beautiful stage of The Rosette.
This is a donation-based event, but those who donate $20 or more will receive a limited-edition CD or a USB Card, including both EP's Tropicos and Veinte.
