Direct Volunteering
We are looking for volunteers who are empathetic, dedicated, and passionate about working with children, older Texans, and those with disabilities.

Mentoring
Mentoring provides a valuable experience for any child, but for children in care, it can be especially beneficial and is key to achieving normalcy. Studies show that mentoring has positive impacts on mental health, educational functioning and attainment, peer relationships, placement outcomes, and life satisfaction.
Internships
Internships with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) give students work experience and an opportunity to connect with other professionals in a real-work environment. DFPS offers internships state-wide across all programs, however the type of opportunities might vary based on the region.
