Pease Park Conservancy

Our Mission and Vision

The mission of Pease Park Conservancy is to celebrate the diverse ecology and history that make Austin’s first public park valuable and unique. The Conservancy works to restore, enhance and maintain this 84-acre public green space for the sustainable use and enjoyment of all. Our vision is that Pease Park will be known as an accessible urban green space for play, adventure and connectivity, where land stewardship, environmental innovation and inclusive programming embrace the community's history and inspire its future. We have worked closely with the City of Austin to sustain and enhance the urban green space that is Pease Park.

Types of Opportunities:

The Pease Corps

Volunteer with Pease Corps and help Keep the Pease! Our volunteer opportunities help us maintain Pease Park in a sustainable way and when students lend a hand, they can gain a sense of pride and connection to the natural world as stewards of the land. Our conservation and maintenance volunteer opportunities depend on the needs of the park and the teams in charge of its care. Some recurring activities we facilitate include litter pick-ups, mulching, weeding, invasive species removal, native species planting, creek clean ups, seeding, watering during severe droughts, and so much more.
We also offer volunteer opportunities during our large-scale and completely free community events, like Squirrel Fest and the Pride Picnic! At these events volunteers help us keep the park clean, guide traffic, support activities and partners, and enjoy the event as well! Click the button below to register for an upcoming opportunity!
