Asian American Resource Center

When we create community, all communities belong.

The Asian American Resource Center’s mission is to create a space of belonging and healing for Asian American communities in Austin and beyond. We do this through community collaborations and partnerships; providing rental space; organizing cultural, educational and health wellness programs; and curating art and historical exhibitions. We lead with our values and our vision, so that our diverse communities are supported and connected.

How to Get Involved

Volunteering with the AARC entails connecting with Asian American community and culture through various ways. We rely on dedicated volunteers to help us implement our programs and events. We have a handful of volunteer opportunities related to one-off events throughout the year (e.g., community health fairs, cultural festivals, etc.), our weekly Senior Program, and more!

Many ACC students have participated in and enjoyed our Senior Program's English Corner, a recurring opportunity through which volunteers connect with Asian elders by helping them practice speaking English through casual conversation. See our GivePulse to learn more! For those who are interested in longer-term involvement, please complete our Volunteer Inquiry Form.
