Morning Message for Friday, June 12
We did it, you guys. We made it through the most bizarre year of school I imagine any of us has ever had. For the majority of the year, we were able to be together and during that time I learned what a remarkable group you are - supportive, creative, thoughtful, and fun. You adjusted to a combo class so easily, showing that you could work independently, rely on each other, and problem solve. Then when we transitioned to online learning, I REALLY got to see the good stuff. The patience, the flexibility, the honesty, and the willingness to work through something truly challenging.
I am so lucky to have had this experience with you, and I thank you for all you have given me this year. I am a better teacher now than I was on August 27, 2019 and that is thanks to you. Have a restful and fun summer. We'll continue to find ways to connect, I know! (And some of you 4th graders... meet you back here in August 2020!)
