Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto #1 in b-flat minor
Lang Lang is a famous Chinese pianist who performed this when he was 20 years old with the London Symphony Orchestra. He is considered one of the most famous Chinese pianists and has performed with every major orchestra in the world. Please listen to the first 3 minutes of this performance. In the beginning he has a short interview. If you become so inspired listen to the entire piece - it's really beautiful.

Eine Kleine Nachtmusik Serenade
No. 13 in G Major
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) is considered the greatest composer of the Classical Period of music. He wrote 600 major works in his 35 years of life. He composed his first piece on piano at age 5 - his father wrote out the music as Mozart played.

Bach - One of the great Baroque Composers
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) is considered one of the great European composers of all time. Please listen to this recording of Orchestral Suite #2 in b minor (this recording is an MP3 file only available on Google Classroom). Listen to the second recording beginning at 12:30 and notice the instruments. The instrument that looks like a piano is actually a harpsichord and the flute is a baroque wooden flute which is not like the flutes students play in the band. This piece was written in 1738 which is about 276 years before you were born!!!
Then answer these three questions:
1. The instrument that looks like a piano is called a Harpsichord. Do you like the sound of this instrument?
2. In looking at the large brown flute in the second video - do you think it is made of wood or metal?
