Welcome to TK!!!
What is TK?
TK (Transitional Kindergarten) is a combination of social skills and academics. The focus is on the whole child through hands-on activities and experiences. Instead of entering Kindergarten and being the "young" ones, TK gives them the gift of time to mature and build their foundational skills. Students are not required to master skills, but are given multiple means of exposure.

California voted last year to expand TK to eventually allow all 4 year olds. Until then, students must turn 5 years old within the birthday time frames. Please see below for how this roll-out will look:
2023-2024: September 2nd - April 2nd birthdays
2024-2025: September 2nd - June 2nd birthdays
2025-2026: All children who turn 4 by September 1st

Master of Education - Special Emphasis in Transitional Kindergarten from the University of La Verne
