SELPA Autism Program (SOAAR)
Our goal is to provide a structured, consistent, positive, and loving classroom environment that will build confidence and a love of learning in all students. We strive to help students develop the skills they need to be as independent as they can at school, at home, and in the community. We believe in communication, collaboration, and transparency with team members. We use evidenced based practices to help students grow in their academics, adaptive skills, communication, and social/emotional development.
Meet Ms. Vallejo
Hello! My name is Andrea Vallejo and I teach the SELPA Autism Special Day Class (SOAAR) for 3rd - 5th grade. I am dual credentialed with both Mild/Mod and Mod/Severe Special Education credentials. I received my Bachelor's in English, both credentials, and a Master's in Special Education from Cal State Fullerton.
My husband and I have 2 kids, Kanoa (12) and Kaori (3), and a Rottweiler named Kuma. In my free time I enjoy reading, jiu jitsu, swimming, and being outside I enjoy going to theme parks, concerts, and baseball games. My favorite drinks are iced coffee, iced teas, and boba. My favorite candies are dark chocolate and peach gummy rings. I love shopping at TJ Maxx,
