Classroom Procedure

Please check Google Classroom at the beginning of every class for assignments, announcements, etc. You will have a daily warm up and check-in to complete at the start of class. This is due the same day at 3pm.
You will need your chromebook almost everyday so remember to bring it FULLY CHARGED to class .
A clean up song will play at around 5 minutes before class ends to remind you it is time to clean up and end class.
Make sure your table group is cleaned and all chairs are pushed in before leaving class.

A lot of science investigations are going to be done in class where science equipments are being used. Most of the homework is unfinished classwork.
60% of your assessment in this class is mostly based off of class assignments like investigations, lab reports, Cornell notes, and projects.
When work is done late for any reason, please turn in the assignment with a late form.
You have one chance to make any revisions after the due date before points are taken off.
- Anything turned in 1 day after the due date will be subject to a 10% penalty for each additional day that an assignment is late UNLESS prior arrangement is made with Ms Mai.
- Work submitted late after the 1 day grace period will need to be accompanied by an email to parent.

Classwork (60%)
- - Classwork includes anything assigned in class such as notes, vocabulary assignments, activities, labs, investigations, projects, etc.
Test (30%)
- - Test are the traditional multiple choice questions AND short answer-type questions. These are usually at the end of a unit. Tests are usually online. There will be opportunities for retakes. More information will be given about retakes in class.
Participation (10%)
- - Participation grade will be based on a variety of things we do in class such as turning in forms, extra points during game/review days, etc.
