Help us welcome our Dana staff back with a special lunch on Thursday, August 27! We’re looking for donations to help treat our staff after their hard work preparing for the new school year.

Food donations: Please drop off at the Dana office by 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 27.
Monetary donations: Bring to the office in an envelope marked “WELCOME BACK LUNCH” or drop them in the box at the Dana PTSA table at Ports O’ Call.

7th Grade Catalina
Dana's seventh graders will be going to camp on Catalina Island this year!
The dates are October 19-21. The payment deadline is Friday, August 28 and the cost is $515. Checks can be made payable to Dana Middle School and turned in to the Dana office.

Science Olympiad Info Night
Dana Science Olympiad Club will hold its Info Night for the new season on Friday, 8/28, from 5:30–6:30 PM in the Dana MPR. If you’re interested in diving deep into the world of science, please join us!
IMPORTANT: Dana MS has added a minimum day to September 11 for staff professional development. Please note we are the only AUSD school with a minimum day on that date. We look forward to having the extra time in the afternoon to work together as a staff on content that will directly benefit your child. Thank you ahead of time for your flexibility!

8th Grade Promo
The 8th Grade Promo Party will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2027. This will be a memorable event in your child's life,
Please consider sending in the recommended donation of $75 for your 8th grade child as soon as possible. If we receive at least 70% of donations from the 8th grade level, we will look to distribute the student gift hoodies early in the school year to all 8th grade students.
Cash or Check (made payable to Dana Middle School PTSA) are accepted which could be turned into the Dana office. There is also an online option of paying through Cheddar UP with credit card.

Girls Volleyball tryouts start this week. The first day is Tuesday, August 25 (3:30-5:00 PM)
Football tryouts start on August 31st after school. More information to come!
Dana has 6 Houses, all of which compete for team spirit and competition points each semester for our House Trophy and prizes. Each House has 6th-8th grade team members which are based on a student's Advisory teacher. Houses gather together throughout the year.
