Halloween Dress-up Day and Contect on Friday
Halloween Pep Rally is Friday afternoon.
As we get ready for Halloween fun at Dana, please remember a few important guidelines for costumes on Friday. Costumes should be school-appropriate—no weapons or suggestive outfits of any kind. Please avoid any make-up or face paint that could smear or come off during the day. Finally, students should arrive at school already dressed in their costumes. Thanks for helping us keep the day safe and enjoyable for everyone!

ASB is creating a special slideshow to honor all veterans who have served — and we’d love your help! If you have a family member who has served in any branch of the military, living or passed, we’d love for you to share a photo of them. That includes the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force — and even veterans who served in another country’s military. We want to celebrate them all!
Their picture will be featured in our Veterans Day Slideshow that will be shown right here on Dana News!
Submit your photo by Thursday, October 30th using this link or QR Code. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Durousseau at vdurousseau@ausd.net Let's honor all who have served!"

We are looking for a parent and student to represent Dana at two upcoming LCAP meetings with our school district. Both of these meetings are online (December 16, and May 19,) starting at 6:30 PM and lasting about an hour. The meetings are an excellent opportunity to give insight and provide feedback about our school and district. If interested, please email Mr. Long.
Guys Read: Terrifying Tales, edited by Jon Scieska. Mysterious tattoos appearing on a boy's body. An imaginary friend that's not so imaginary. An old blind woman who is tired of being bothered. Be afraid, be very afraid of the sixth volume in the Guys Read Series, full of terrifying tales. (Note: the Guys Read series of short stories, written by many favorite authors, is not just for guys!)
