Student safety is always our top priority, and we need your help to ensure a safe start to each day.
Please do not drop students off on the east side of 1st Ave. This area is not designated for student drop-off and creates unsafe conditions for students crossing the street and for overall traffic flow. Instead, please use the school’s designated drop-off zones.
We also want to remind families that all students riding bikes, e-bikes, or scooters must wear a helmet. Helmets are essential in preventing serious injuries and are required for student safety.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students safe each morning!
We want to share a quick update on our Attendance Recovery Program (ARP) and encourage students to keep up with their make-up work. So far, our students have had 2,100 total absences, and 1,040 days have been successfully recovered—meaning almost half of missed days (49.5%) have been made up!
For comparison:
Elementary Average: 64.8%
Secondary Average: 44.3%
District Average: 52.9%
Remember, recovering an absence is easy—students just need to submit one piece of make-up work through the Google form sent to them when they are absent. Every completed form helps improve learning and keeps students on track. Let’s work together to turn more missed days into learning opportunities!
Dana has 6 Houses, all of which compete for team spirit and competition points each semester for our House Trophy and prizes. Each House has 6th-8th grade team members which are based on a student's Advisory teacher. Houses gather together throughout the year.
