Welcome to the Dana Counseling Page
5th Grade Parent Night Presentation
OUR MISSION:
"The mission of the Dana Middle School counseling program is to foster positive relationships through support of our students by working in partnership with all of our stakeholders: school personnel, community, and students. We work to develop engaged learners by advocating for all students and implementing effective support to ensure student success. We help promote responsible citizenship by providing students robust social and emotional learning opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive in the world around them."
The Dana Counseling Program is aligned with the American School Counselor Association’s National Standards for School Counseling and is organized according to the competencies outlined in the national model, which identify what all students should know and be able to do as a result of the school counseling program. The counseling program aims to support and guide students in three main areas (domains): academic development, career development and personal/social development. These domains are addressed through class presentations, parent/student/teacher conferences, one-on-one counseling and group counseling.
