I grew up in Arcadia, but did not attend public school until I was in fifth grade, at which time I became a Holly Avenue Dolphin. It was at Holly that I decided my career path. Next to our fifth grade yearbook picture was a response to the prompt, "At age 25...," mine read, "I will be getting a degree to become a teacher." I went on to attend First Avenue and then Arcadia High School. I am excited to be back "home" in Arcadia as an Instructional Technology Coach!

After graduating High School I selected California State University, Channel Islands (CSUCI) as my home for the next four years. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a minor in Performing Arts. It was a brand new school at the time and I knew that I was in luck, a private school education for the public school price! After my four years at CSUCI, I moved home where I attended the University of La Verne (ULV). Upon graduation I earned my Credential and Master's Degree. As a life-long learner, I plan to further my education in the coming years!

During my coursework at ULV I was a substitute for Arcadia Unified as well as an Intervention Teacher at Longley Way. I ventured out of the nest and went to work for La Canada Unified (LCUSD) where I taught Kindergarten and Fifth Grade. During my time with LCUSD, I served as a Technology Integration Coach for my school site and became a Google Certified Educator.
