Code of Conduct
The following regulations have been drawn up to ensure safety and to allow us to enjoy Dispute Resolution Society events. All members are asked to always abide by the following rules:
Read, understand and respect the Society’s Code of Conduct and Safety Code.
All members must be fully co-operative, respecting all reasonable requests and decisions made by the committee members within the scope of the society’s conduct.
All individuals are to always be treated with respect. Care should be taken to avoid hurting others at all times.
Do not engage in any behaviour that constitutes any form of abuse (physical, emotional, bullying). If witnessed or subject to please inform either the Wellbeing Officer, President, or Vice-President immediately.
When attending social events or visiting partner organisations, be responsible and professional to maintain the reputation of the society.
Respect and follow any instructions and procedures given by members of the venue staff, if applicable.
All photos taken must be done at the consent of others.
When engaging with the Aberdeen University Dispute Resolution Society social media pages, members will ensure they maintain a professional and respectful tone.
Do not purchase or consume alcohol, tobacco products, solvents, illegal drugs of any kind; while representing the society at events.
Do not undertake any actions that will damage the reputation of the society, or its members or representatives.
Inadequate commitment or failure to follow the Code of Conduct and Safety Code may result in termination of membership and removal from the production.
