From 2016 - 2019, I was the sponsor for the Genesis Game Club here at Vista PEAK Prep. In that time, I've hosted several school wide tournaments and fundraisers such as Sugar Rush and a comedy show and more.  In 2017, we even partnered with an organization called Extra-life.org which helps fund surgeries and other medical services for kids in need. We were able to raise over $600 and gave those proceeds to Children's Hospital here in Denver Colorado. By playing video games, the donations were able to help those who needed it most! In the Spring of 2022, our Esports coaching staff took several teams through a regular season and then led 3 teams to playoffs and one of our teams brought home a trophy as the 'Mountain Region Madden Championship'. Dr. Chancy is a new Social Studies Teacher at VPP and our newest Esports Coach! She’s joining Vista PEAK after having taught university anthropology for ten years. Though her Esports specialty is Mario Kart, Coach Chancy loves everything from Zelda to Path of Exile and from Civilization VI to RuneScape. She is married, lives in Elizabeth, Colorado, and has two cats (Wonton and Eggroll)  and a dog (Tali). Outside of gaming she loves to travel and watch horror movies.
