While in Remote Learning, students will…
Engage in online learning on a daily basis.
Learning in this format can include face to face real-time learning through use of Google Meets, or through at-home assignments completion.
Students must wear clothing that appropriately covers your body. Underwear should not be exposed.
Google Meet student expectations:
Cameras must be on, though backgrounds can be school appropriate displayed
All microphones are to be muted until the instructor has asked for students to speak so as to reduce distracting background noise
Students will not use foul language in the chatbox or verbally.
Students must use their school ID name in their sign-on.
Students should email instructors to set up non-scheduled office hours for direct support.
Attendance Expectations
In accordance with the temporary attendance policy approved by the APS board of education for remote learning, students will continue to be held accountable for participation in their coursework and maintaining satisfactory attendance in all modalities utilized within APS. During remote learning, students are expected to engage in both synchronous (Live Instruction) and asynchronous (Independent) learning.
All students are expected to attend their “live” (synchronous) classes every day.
All students are expected to complete their independent assignments (asynchronous) every day.
Students who miss a synchronous class will be marked absent.
Exceptions to this expectation will only be made after communication between the teacher and a parent/guardian.
Excused Absences: If a student needs to miss class due to illness, appointment, family emergency, etc., a parent/guardian must call the attendance line to excuse them.
