Credit Recovery
Credit Recovery
Are you behind in credits needed for graduation?
Ask your counselor about Credit Recovery options! At RHS, there are two options for recovering credit/classes students failed earlier in their high school careers. It's important to choose the option that will work best for you!
Credit Recovery
Using a program called Edgenuity, students work fully online, at their own pace.
Instructors provide accountability for attendance and showing progress, they do not teach content.
Students learn through the program, with no teacher guiding the lesson.
Students recover each credit one quarter at a time.
Take Extra RHS courses
11th and 12th grade students take additional classes at Rangeview in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies.
Example, a student failed their math class in 10th grade, so they take two math classes in 11th grade.
Best for students who learn best with a teacher talking them through content and answering questions.
If a student doesn't have room in their schedule for all classes needed, Credit Recovery through Edgenuity will likely need to be added.
What IS a credit?
Students earn a credit for each full year of a course they pass.
.25 Credit = Quarter of a Class
.5 Credit = Semester of a Class
1 Credit = Year of a Class
Students need to earn a minimum of 22 credits in order to graduate from high school in APS. More importantly, students need the correct number of credits under each subject area, as listed below.
