Statement of Support

At APS, we prioritize creating a welcoming and supportive environment for every member of our school community. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive atmosphere that affirms and protects the dignity of all students, staff, and families. Our commitment involves ensuring equitable access to resources, spaces, and support programs that enable LGBTQIA+ students, families, and staff to feel valued and empowered. 

School leaders and personnel are encouraged to collaborate with our Culture, Equity, and Engagement Department to develop and implement strategies that promote understanding, respect, and comprehensive support for LGBTQIA+ community members.

Non Discrimination

Colorado laws offer protections to the LGBTQIA+ community. APS does not tolerate discrimination  based on any protective class, including sexual orientation, gender, and/or gender identity. Claims of discrimination should be reported to the Compliance Office.
