Children have been working hard listening to stories and asking and answering questions about what the books are about.
In phonics and phonemic awareness we have been learning letter names, sounds and working on rhyming and hearing syllables in words.
We have been writing, working on drawing pictures with details including characters, setting and a plot-what happened.
In Math, we have been seeing combinations within 5 and 10. We are creating patterns and extending them. We are identifying shapes and learning about that even when their orientation changes it is still that shape! We have been counting to 30 and counting on from numbers 1-10 and counting down from 10-1.
We have made good friends and practice being kind, safe, respectful and responsible.
