_When is "Good" Good Enough?_Javyn Myers_.pdf
_When is "Good" Good Enough?_Javyn Myers_.pdfWe started learning more about the process of choosing and planning. We learned about this guy who survived travelling across the Atlantic ocean with nothing but a small biplane and some essentials and he risked not bringing a radio, parachute, and other things you ould think he would have to bring, but he sacrificed that in order to keep the weight very low. So yeah. Prioritization. Yay...
After we finished our interviews, we decided to brainstorm solutions and after we came up with multiple solutions, we ranked them off of topics that we came up with for our specific design. Complexity, durability, price, and manufacturability.
Finally, to end part 1, we made a design brief based off of our chosen design. With that, we came up with criteria and constraints, too. For our project, we decided to tackle the problem of people always forgetting to bring their charger to school, so we decided to do a take on the MagSafe apple phone case, but reversed so the magnet is charging the phone. We obviously need it to charge, and it has to be durable, since it's also a phone case. We chose average charging temps, weights, and dimensions as constraints.
