What We Are Learning
Kindergarten- Kindergarteners will kick off the year learning the rules of the STEM lab.
Goal- To learn the rules of the Falcon STEM lab.

Kindergarteners will continue learning computer basics.
Goal- To become proficient with using technology.

Kindergarteners will ;work on coding, computer skills and various engineering challenges.
Goal- To continue learning about STEM.

First Grade- 1st through 4tth grade will be kicking off the year with a unit on Digital Citizenship. This is a great way to ensure all kids become great digital citizens not only with technology at school but home as well.
Goal- I understand how to be safe, responsible and respectful in living, learning and working in a connected digital world.
Unit 2
First graders will be using Scratch Jr. to learn more about digital storytelling and creating interactive games.
Goal- I can use Scratch Jr. to tell a story and build a game.
Unit 3
First graders will be using dominoes to build a rube goldberg machine.
Goal- I can use the keva planks to build a rube goldberg machine.
Unit 4
This unit we will be diving into the world of coding. Students will go learn about the Hour of Code and have the opportunity to try various coding activities.
Goal-I can build my computer science vocabulary by learning new terms and applying the skills while coding.
I can apply problem solving skills and critical thinking.
I can successfully use virtual blocked based programming language to code a computer program.
Unit 5
This unit we will be exploring robots using OzoBots.
Goal- I can program a robot using color codes.
