Special Events, Links and resources

Denver Options has Piloted a program this year, with the support of  APS, our Principals, and Lauren Davis Tutoring.    We are striving to make it easier for homeschooling kids who struggle with reading and writing to get help.  This has included screenings, Purchasing curriculum and some tutoring and classroom support to build confidence in kids of all ages.    We purchased  Foundations in Sound, and the Barton Curriculum in Bulk for our families to check out and use as a part of their homeschooling time.  

Our APS Options site has been blessed to be able to offer hearing and vision screening to students whose parents ask for them to be checked.   The Options Program's nurse, Kari Laudenslager, has kindly screened lots of kids, and talked to lots of parents about support for our kids' ability to hear and see.
