ABOUT HOMEWORK

Homework in our class is very simple and consists of 3 basic components:

Writing Homework Notebook - spiral notebook, students should be writing 1 story each week and turn it in by Tuesday. Notebooks will be returned with Thursday folders. (to be sent home about 3rd week of school)

Math Homework - Directions for games will be sent home periodically. Play the games when you have time. Occasionally math practice pages will be sent home - they are good practice for students and help keep you informed of what we are working on in school. It is not necessary to return these pages to school.

Reading - try to practice reading at home with your student. Reading 15-20 minutes a day will help your student demonstrate their skills. Talk about books together after reading.
