Hello! My name is Chloe Sartin, and I am a graduate of Vista Peak Preparatory as well as the Community College of Aurora, and I am currently attending the University of Northern Colorado. I am one of our student leaders here at Aurora Public Schools for the Behavioral Health Summit, where my main focus is logistics coordination for our event, and I am involved in itinerary, social media, and website planning. I hope to make this event as fun, informative, and meaningful as possible to the students of APS!
Hello! My name is Yureighna Fredrick. I am currently a senior at Gateway High School. This spring, I will be graduating not only with my high school diploma but also with my Associate’s Degree from the Community College of Aurora. In the fall, I plan to continue my education by majoring in Psychology, with a specific focus on Clinical Psychology.
I have always been passionate about helping others and making sure people feel seen, understood, and supported. Growing up, I realized how important it is to have someone who truly listens and advocates for you. My goal is to become that person for others — someone who creates safe spaces and helps break the stigma surrounding mental health.
I currently serve as a student worker for Aurora Public Schools, specifically supporting the Behavioral Health Summit. My primary responsibilities include assisting with event planning and managing social media and communications. Through this work, I hope to contribute to meaningful conversations about behavioral health and continue growing as a leader and advocate in my community.
Hi! I’m Arely Aguilar, currently attending Colorado Early Colleges of Aurora, where I am working toward earning both my high school diploma and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mental Health and Social Work.
I am an active member of the Behavioral Health Summit, where my role focuses on communication, design, and social media. I am passionate about mental health advocacy and committed to helping reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
In the future, I will pursue a career in the mental health field. I am interested in attending the University of Chicago, majoring in psychology, and eventually working in forensic psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
I enjoy helping others and strive to advocate for individuals who may not be able to advocate for themselves. I also believe in teaching others how to use their voices and prioritize their mental well-being. My goal is to help make mental health a topic that is understood, valued, and no longer overlooked or discriminated against.
I hope this event encourages all students and participants to recognize how important their mental health is — and to remember how much they truly matter.
Hi there! I’m Jamie Cordova, a Junior at Gateway High School and a student at the Community College of Aurora. My goal is to become a Nurse or Doctor because I believe that caring for the mind and soul is just as vital as caring for the body. Currently, I am one of the student leaders for the Aurora Public Schools Behavioral Health Summit, where I focus on finding resources and social media design. This summit aims to break the stigma of Behavioral Health by providing students with the resources and attention they need to achieve success in all life aspects. I hope to help create an engaging and impactful experience for our community!
