Your School Counselors are professionals that are licensed through the state of Colorado. Our counseling department follows the American School Counseling Association National Model which focuses on three domains: academic, social/emotional, and career development.

Within our roles we can provide:

Judy Stucker, P-2nd Grade Counselor

303-693-1995 ext:  20820

Hello, my name is Mrs. Stucker and I am excited for the 2023-2024 school year at Aurora Frontier!  I have  a dual master's degree in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado.  This is my 11th year as a school counselor and every year I find job more enjoyable in different ways.   My favorite part of being a school counselor is watching students grow and transform into unique individuals.  In my free time I love spending time with my husband, son, daughter and dog.  I like to hike, travel, try new restaurants, listen to audiobooks and visit the mountains as much as possible.

Zachary Powell (Mr. Powell) 3-5th Grade Counselor

Hello fellow Frontier Falcons! My name is Mr. Powell and I will be the 3rd-5th grade counselor this year! I have a master's degree from the University of Minnesota in Counselor Education specializing in School Counseling. I also received my undergraduate degree in Family Social Science from The University of Minnesota. I am an APS grad myself, having graduated middle school from Aurora Quest and High School from Rangeview. On my free time you can find me playing in rec sports leagues, fishing/camping outside with my dog Steely Dan, or playing video games (especially 2K). I am super excited for this year and to be a Frontier Falcon!

Counseling Groups

We offer counseling groups for students covering various topics. Some of the themes include: self-esteem, healthy relationships, body image, anger management, conflict resolution, stress/anxiety, missing assignments, academic organization, and preparing for high school. Groups typically take place during lunch and small group intervention blocks.
