Sight Words & Other Homework Ideas

I will continue to update & add resources/ideas to this page.

I will include samples of what student work can look like.

In the meantime have students practice writing & reading sight words, drawing a picture and writing a story to match, and practice writing & identifying numbers!

READ, READ, READ & COUNT, COUNT, COUNT!!!

This can be ongoing and done all throughout the day.

Please do not forget to take breaks. We do not want your child or yourself to get frustrated during this time. It is most important that your child is ready for learning and if their brains are shutting down, THEY WILL NOT LEARN!

Sight Word Lists
40 Sight Words

40 sight words are just the beginning!!! There were many students who had reached, or were close to reaching 40 sight words. Please work EVERY DAY on the SAME 5-7 sight words, until they have mastered locating them in books and writing them.

The list above are the sight word lists from the beginning of the year. When your child completes 1 list they can move onto the next.

The sight word games that we sent home at the beginning of the school year. Please continue to work on these!
