School Counseling Mission Statement
The mission of the Aurora City Schools counseling department is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that will assist all students in acquiring the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to become effective students, responsible citizens, productive workers, and lifelong learners.
School counselors work with students to:
Support their academic progress and goals
Develop their college and career related knowledge, skills, and pathways
Support their social/emotional development, skills, and mindsets
