Prof. Rajiv Aggarwal is an esteemed academician serving as Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Sri Aurobindo College, University of Delhi. He also served as the Principal of Deshbandhu College (NAAC Grade A++ with CGPA 3.65 ) from May 2018 till May 2023, which is affiliated with the prestigious University of Delhi. With a strong foundation in mathematics, Prof. Aggarwal has made significant contributions to the field of celestial mechanics and space dynamics.

Prof. Aggarwal completed his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) degrees in Mathematics from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. Driven by a deep curiosity to explore the intricacies of celestial bodies and their movements, he pursued a Ph.D. in the field of Celestial Mechanics and Space Dynamics from Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi, in 2007. His extensive research and insights in this area have contributed significantly to the advancement of knowledge and understanding in celestial mechanics.

His dedication to education and expertise in mathematics have made him an invaluable asset to the academic community. He has published ore than 120 research papers, and co-authorship of several books  in esteemed journals, sharing his insights and discoveries with the broader scientific community. His work has not only enhanced the understanding of celestial mechanics but has also contributed to the broader field of mathematics and its applications. His impact as a research supervisor extends beyond his own research and publications. Under his guidance, eight Ph.D.  and two M.Phil. students have successfully completed their degrees. Currently, he is supervising two Ph.D. and one M.Phil. research students.

Furthermore, he is associated with several reputable organizations related to his field of expertise, solidifying his commitment to staying updated with the latest developments and collaborating with fellow researchers.   His role as a referee in seven renowned journals speaks to his standing as an expert in his field. As a referee, he undertakes the responsibility of evaluating the quality and validity of research manuscripts submitted for publication.  He actively engages in conferences and seminars, both in India and abroad, demonstrating his enthusiasm for staying updated with the latest developments in his field. He presents his research findings, participates in intellectual discourse, and learns from fellow scholars, contributing to the scientific community and enriching his own knowledge and teaching. Additionally, he consistently takes part in workshops, keeping pace with emerging methodologies, techniques, and technologies.
