The College & Career Center is dedicated to supporting students and their families in navigating the journey toward post-secondary success. We believe that every student is unique, and our goal is to empower them to make informed, confident decisions about their future, whether that involves college, career tech, military, GAP year or or another pathway. We strive to create an environment that is both supportive and educational, fostering collaboration between students, families, counselors and the College & Career Advisors working at Campolindo.
Each year, we work closely with students at every stage of their high school journey to ensure they are equipped with the resources, knowledge, and guidance they need to succeed. First Years are introduced to the College & Career Center and the many tools available to them. Sophomores revisit these resources, dive deeper into personality and career assessments, and begin to explore college majors, career options and extracurriculars. As juniors, students start actively planning for their post-graduation life, learning how to build a college list and preparing for the next steps in the college application process. Senior year becomes our primary focus as we guide and advise students through the post-secondary options.
Throughout the year, we provide information and helpful resources through weekly updates in the Campolindo Parent’s Club eNewsletter, Class-level emails, Career Talks, Academy presentations, and Parent presentations & workshops. In addition, each fall students have the opportunity to meet College Admissions officers from more than 125+ colleges at 30 minute presentations in the College & Career Center. The AUSHD has also created the College & Career 101 website, an online resource for students and parents, answering frequently asked questions and explaining the college and career planning process. We encourage all families to take advantage of this resource for quick, reliable information.
I am available during the school year as a resource to both students and parents. Students are welcome to stop by the College & Career Center during lunch, Academy, or 7th period, or schedule a one-on-one meeting with myself or any of our College & Career Advisors for more personalized guidance. We will meet with parents, but recommend students join those meetings as they begin to navigate their next steps. Our team is committed to supporting every student in discovering their strengths, values, and aspirations, and helping them take the next step toward a fulfilling future. We are grateful to the Moraga Education Foundation, our Counseling staff and the Administration for all of their support of the Campolindo College & Career Center.
