Hello and Welcome to Kennedy High Library!

My name is Ms. Buck and I am your Library Media Technician.

I have worked at an Elementary school for six years, a Junior High for two years, and I have been here at Kennedy for seven years now. I enjoy working with students. Assisting you select books for research or leisure reading brings me much joy and satisfaction. I really enjoy hearing about the books you have read and what you have learned from them. I believe that reading makes you a much more interesting person.

I love a busy library and make it my goal to create an environment in which you can, not only get things accomplished, but also enjoy. Our library here at Kennedy is a very busy place. Students are offered many amenities and are welcome to even just hangout.

I enjoy reading Historical fiction, Realistic Fiction and Spiritual books. After reading a book I select my favorite quote and enter it into a journal. It is fun to go back and reread the quotes I have collected over time and how they speak to me today. Some of my favorite books include: The Thorn Birds, Hinds Feet On High Places, The Nightingale, The Bronze Bow, and well... many more!

I am the mother of two adult children. My daughter is a 5th grade teacher and my son is currently in his fifth year at CSULB, studying business. I love spending time with my BIG extended family sharing great food, laughter and memorable experiences that make me feel very blessed!
