College Board Opportunity Scholarships

There are a total of seven scholarships to be awarded. By completing each of the six college planning steps, students become eligible for the College Board scholarship associated with that step. Students who complete all six steps are also eligible for the seventh Complete Your Journey scholarship.

Earn a chance at a $500 scholarship for completing the FAFSA.
500 Complete the FAFSA scholarships will be awarded in October, November, and December.

Eligibility

The College Board Opportunity Scholarships program is currently open to class of 2022 students in the United States, Puerto Rico, and U.S. territories, regardless of citizenship status.

This program is also open to students regardless of their family income.

Complete all activities by the end of February to be eligible for scholarships

JFK Scholarship Foundation

The Scholarship Foundation of John F. Kennedy High School awards 19 scholarships in various categories.

WHO MAY APPLY:

John F. Kennedy High School student graduating May 2022, and having attended JFK for one year
Plan to attend a Post-Secondary school full time in 2022-2023

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA:

GPA
Personal Statement
Recommendations
Outside involvement, i.e., volunteering (not volunteering on campus) and working (in a paid employee)
School activities

SCHOLARSHIP RECOGNITION:

The Recognition dinner is scheduled for March 12, 2022 and will be held at the Knott's Berry Farm Hotel.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS:

Scholarship Certificates will be awarded at Senior Awards Night. (date to be announced)

ELIGIBLE POST-SECONDARY SCHOOLS:

Funds must be used at an accredited Post-Secondary School for your continued education after high school graduation. This could include two year or four year colleges/universities; technical, vocational or professional schools.

Coca-cola Scholars Program

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation believes that investing in students who are leaders, both academically and in service to others, will result in positive, lasting change and sustainable communities. Each year, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation awards 150 college scholarships worth $20,000 to high school students across the United States through the Coca-Cola Scholars Program.

Eligibility

Current high school/home-schooled students attending school in one of the 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, or select DoD schools who will graduate high school during the 2021-2022 academic school year (students graduating from an American or expat school abroad are not eligible for this award)
U.S. Citizens (not a Temporary Resident), U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees - based on the guidelines utilized by U.S. Department of Education for Federal Financial Aid eligibility
Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution
Selected Scholars must present a minimum overall B/3.0 GPA in high school coursework

Horatio Alger Targeted Scholarships

If integrity, determination and courage describe you - you have what it takes to be a Horatio Alger Scholar. Our scholarships reward students who possess the character to succeed in life. We help students overcome the financial barriers of pursuing higher education. National, state, college and major specific, career and technical scholarships are available.

Several targeted scholarships are available for applicants who are pursuing a specific degree or are planning to attend a specific university. For more information, visit the website.

The following criteria applies to all programs below:

High school senior
Critical financial need ($55,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is required)
Integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
United States citizenship

The application is available from December – March 15.

Social Change Fund United Scholarship

This scholarship was created by philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and NBA superstars Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Dwyane Wade to support critical and timely issues impacting the Black community.

eLKS LODGE MOST VALUABLE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

Elks Lodge Most Valuable Student Scholarship

The 2021 Most Valuable Student scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.

Eligibility:

Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

Awards:

500 four-year scholarships Ranging from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year

Jack kent Cooke foundation

Eligibility:

To be eligible to apply to the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program you must:

•Graduate from a U.S. high school in spring 2022

•Intend to enroll full time in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2022

•Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above

•Demonstrate unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000.

reside in the United States or a U.S. territory and attend high school in the United States. You do not need to be a US citizen.

Award:

Up to $55,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school.
Ability to pursue any area of study.

The 2022 College Scholarship Program application is open until November 18, 2021.

The Cooke College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's best four-year colleges and universities.

The Young Scholars Program offers the most personalized, generous scholarship and educational support to exceptionally promising students from families across the nation who have financial need.

NROTC Scholarship - Applying for the scholarship does not compel military service. Even receiving the scholarship does not require service. Recipients can attend their Freshman year of college without incurring any expense or service obligation.

Scholarships for Trade Schools in California

The Imagine America High School Scholarship is an award-winning scholarship program offered by the Imagine America Foundation. Imagine America is the only nationally recognized organization dedicated to providing tuition assistance to students interested in career and technical training. The scholarship is for high school seniors or recent graduates planning to attend a career school participating in the Imagine America High School Scholarship Program.
