Instructional Materials Review Process

Plan in advance to get a new textbook or classroom novel approved. New instructional materials are required to be: reviewed by the Instructional Materials Review Committee (IMRC), displayed at the district, and approved by the Board - a process that can take at least 3 months. Here's what you need to do. (You must be logged with your AUHSD gmail to access the hyperlinks.)

1. Find out whether or not your book has already been approved. Search the IMRC Master Approved List.
2. Read and carefully follow the Directions on how to submit Supplemental Material (e.g., novel, article, ebook) for IMRC Adoption.
3. Read the Directions for how to submit a curricular material for IMRC Adoption.
