Principal's Address
Dear Stakeholders,
Many changes have already taken place at Anderson Alternative Education this school year. While change can sometimes be challenging, it is an essential part of growth and improvement.
At the Community Day School, we have reaffirmed our purpose as a behavior modification program. A Boys Town–based model called Student Hall has been implemented to help students learn responsibility and accountability for both their actions and academic effort.
Oakview High School has adopted new curriculum through Bright Thinker and undergone a program redesign that raises expectations for student attendance and academic integrity.
Anderson Adult School is also utilizing Bright Thinker in both online and print formats, including for incarcerated students. Program redesign is underway here as well, with a focus on improving progress monitoring and overall student success.
At North Valley High School, processes are being updated to align credit and grading procedures while also strengthening behavior expectations.
Altogether, Anderson Alternative Education has welcomed six new employees this year, including myself. These changes position us to better serve our students and community, and I look forward to the growth and progress ahead.
