LCAP Goal #1. Anderson Union High School District students will be college or career ready upon graduation.
9th Grade STEM Career Fair
The entire AUHS 9th grade class attended the 2025 STEM Career Fair on Friday November 19th at the Shasta District Fair Grounds. This annual event allows students in Shasta County the opportunity to talk with local professionals in many STEM careers and explore their future professional options.
No Tardies
We are encouraging getting to class on time by rewarding the grade level with the fewest tardies with a 5 minute early release to both Nutrition break and Lunch. The class that has the fewest tradies each week will get to go early to Nutrition break and Lunch for an entire week. The winning class for the week of 11/17-21/25 was the 9th graders and the winning class for 12/1-5/25 was the 12th grade class.

This play is a comedy-drama about the bond among a group of Southern women in northwest Louisiana.

The mission of the organization shall be to support and encourage students’ participation in high school sports by:

LCAP Goal #2. Anderson Union High School District will provide a safe, orderly, and responsive learning environment for all students.
Collaboration
AUHS continues to meet in departments during collaboration for their PLC teams to work through the cycle of collective inquiry to ensure continuously improve instruction and effective teaching in every classroom. Continuing the progression through the HRS (High Reliability Schools) framework AUHS recently began discussions surrounding grading pracices to improve motivation, better prepare students by focusing on mastery as well as providing more meaningful feedback (getting clear on what a grade means, how grades are communicated, who they are communicated to, using proficiency scales, and not mingling academic with non-academic aspects of student performance).
Risk Assessment
Principal Safford met with APD Lieutenant Finch in November to examine the campus for vulnerabilities and explore further measures to increase our already safe campus.
Training
Besides the monthy intruder training that AUHS conducts monthly in faculty meetings, APD will be conducting an active shooter training on the AUHS campus in December and another larger scale training on campus in April. These trainings will help to ensure that our officers are familiar with our campus and increase response time and precision.
LCAP Goal #3. AUHS will develop and maintain a systematic method for partnering with parents, guardians and community members in the ongoing development of district programs and services.
