LCAP Goal #1. Anderson Union High School District students will be college or career ready upon graduation.
Attendance
AUHS enrollment is currently 560 students. Last week's grade level competition for the best attendance was won again by the Seniors. Each week we will announce the garde level that has the highest attenance rate.
State FFA Officers were on campus presenting to our Ag students in the Small Gym.
The Math Department did a lesson involving the use of calipers and micrometers.

The Landscape Management students were tackling the planter boxes by the 200 wing bathrooms and the front office.
Students will develop plans and replant these areas in the Spring.
The AUHS Counselors are attending IEP/SART meetings, and scheduling and hosting Student Achievement Plan meetings with students, starting with students on inter-district transfers to try to keep them on track to remain at AUHS. Head Counselor attended Reach Higher Shasta meeting at SCOE PDC. Counselors are working on order confirmations for the AP English Test.
FFA News
Christmas Tree sales will begin on December 1st on the corner of South St. and Balls Ferry. Many of our students will be working at this event to help the AUHS Ag program.
AUHS participated in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies that took place at WVHS on Tuesday 11/12/2024.
Fair parent meetings are in full swing this week, talking with FFA Members and parents/guardians about their plans for raising animals for fair!
AUHS Robotics Club competed in Chico over this past weekend.
LCAP Goal #2. Anderson Union High School District will provide a safe, orderly, and responsive learning environment for all students.
Mr. Safford and Mrs. Reid attended the Reach Higher Shasta meeting at SCOE on Tuesday 11/12. Input was provided on areas that schools feel SCOE could help sites with substance abuse issues. There was also discussion with feeder schools about grades and assessments.
LCAP Goal #3. AUHS will develop and maintain a systematic method for partnering with parents, guardians and community members in the ongoing development of district programs and services.
School Site Council
The AUHS School Site Council held the 2nd meeting of the year on November 14th in the Library at 4:00pm. Click Here to look at the agenda.
Community
The AUHS Community Connector, Tyler Nichols, has organized and manages The Den (student closet and pantry) in room #111. This room is also Tyler's office space which allows him to have an open door for students and receiving donated items from the community.
Student Store
Hanes Flooring is on-site this week removing carpet and glue, leveling the floor, and laying the new flooring.
Cub Connection will be offering “Friendsgiving” to students that signed up in Room 211 next Thursday November 21st from 3-5 pm. The Math Department began tutoring sessions on Tuesday 11/12. They will be providing our students with additional help after school every Tuesday and Thursday.
Anderson Key Club is currently running a food drive until 11/22 to gather Thanksgiving meals for families in need! Leadership is excitedly preparing for the upcoming events in December and determined to spread the joy this holiday season.
All Fall sports have concluded at AUHS and now Winter sport tryouts and practices have begun.
Girls Basketball: Girls Basketball is gearing up for the season with daily practices. First Scrimmage is coming up on Nov 23th.
