I found JR on the LG website and I called him the following Monday and was very happy he answered on the first phone call. He was able to troubleshoot our problem over the phone and order the part we needed for the next day. I texted JR on Tuesday and he promptly called me and said he could come over that afternoon and fix the problem. I was extremely happy with JR and the service he provided."

The first was a minor issue that turned out to be the water valve but the second involved the whole fridge not working. JR took our call, rearranged his schedule because there was perishable food involved, got to our place in a couple of hours, and determined the fix was to replace a fuse on the control board. He's very helpful, knows what he's doing, and treats his customers fairly. I won't hesitate to call him for any appliance need in the future."

Google review of August Ltd. by Travis Hughes★★★★★ "Our 3 year old high-end LG dryer refused to work, with a light on the display that read "Clean Filter" even though the filter was totally free of lint. I believed the issue was a buildup of lint within the filter housing and duct at the bottom of the unit. The owner's manual provided no instructions for how to access that area, so I contacted LG support through both the website and Twitter. They were totally useless. After an hour of fiddling myself to no avail, I called J.R. at August Ltd. on a Saturday afternoon. He picked up on the first call and troubleshot the issue over the phone. "Do you use dryer sheets?" (Yes.) "Take the filter to a faucet and run water through it. Does the water pass freely, or does it build up a bit?" (Builds up some, I guess.) "Dryer sheets can leave a film behind on the filter such that the filter appears clean but the airflow is still restricted. Clean it with some dish soap and lightly scrub, pat dry, pop it back in and try the dyer again. If that doesn't work, call me back." That fixed it. Why LG support couldn't tell me that, I don't know. What I do know is that J.R. took the time to help diagnose the issue to determine if a repair was even needed in the first place. This saved me the cost of a trip charge and got my dryer up and running immediately instead of waiting for someone to arrive. Most other vendors wouldn't have troubleshot on the phone, and some of them may have even replaced a part simply to generate revenue (much like a car dealership). Five stars! J.R. is my appliance repair guy from here on out."

Over the past year, I have made numerous attempts to get the manufacturer to honor the warranty and to fix the range. The manufacturer either wouldn't act on my requests to repair the range or cancelled my repair work orders for no reason before the work commenced. Then J.R. stepped in. Yay! He was willing to interact with the manufacturer on my behalf and to complete the work necessary to ensure that our range worked for the first time since it was installed. And he did this on his wedding day! I kid you not! J.R. is a really, really nice person and an excellent repairperson. I couldn't be happier with his work, patience, compassion, and sense of humor. I will contact him for all of my appliance repairs in the future. Thanks so much J.R."
