COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Computer Technology program is designed to give students an introduction to the technology industry while prioritizing PC Repair/Install. Students will learn to install, repair, configure, secure, and manage computer hardware, operating systems, and software in home and corporate environments. These are the most basic and foundational skills for an IT professional. Additionally, communication, listening, and analysis skills are essentials for interacting with customers. This course is offered 9:00-11:00 and 11:30-1:30 Monday thru Friday.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Many IT professionals begin their careers in IT support-related positions. The main purpose of the Computer Technology II and the Network Pro certification is to verify necessary skills to work as an IT support professional. In an IT support job, you’ll be asked to install, repair, configure, secure, and manage computer hardware, operating systems, and software in home or corporate environments. These are the most basic and foundational skills required of all IT professionals.This class prepares students for the TestOut Network Pro certification exam and CompTIA's N10-007 certification exam. Students gain the knowledge and skills they need to install, configure, and maintain a network for a small business.
