Before I introduce you to the folklore monsters from mexico I have written about, I need to summarize Summer of the Mariposas. Summer of the Mariposas by Guadalupe Garcia McCall is about five sisters who find a dead body in the Rio Grande and embark on a journey to return the body, and end up encountering multiple folklore monsters.
In our class one folklore monster from mexico I looked into is the chupacabra and wrote an essay about it. We also wrote and compare contrast essay about La Llorona and a rewritten scene in summer of Mariposas.
