Hello! Welcome to Mrs. Nafziger's Fifth Grade classroom! This is my thirteenth year teaching and my seventh year in 5th grade at Wilson Elementary School. Before teaching 5th grade, I taught Special Education in K-5. I am a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University and Fort Defiance High School.

I strive to make learning fun! I put the focus on positive reinforcement and encouraging appropriate social skills. When having a chance to make appropriate choices, children are empowered to reach new heights in learning.

I believe in a strong home and school connection and feel that by working as a team we will help your child be the best they can be here at Wilson Elementary. I pride myself on instilling a lifelong love of learning in my students. Most of all, I want your child to feel successful every day and to love school and learning.

I truly love teaching! It's a simple statement that sums up my view. I love being here at Wilson Elementary. I love coming to work everyday and being with these incredible kids. They bring me joy and watching them develop and discover who they are as the year passes is an indescribable feeling that not many people get to witness. Thank you for allowing me the privilege to teach your child this year. It is a team effort and I thank you in advance for the all the hard work and support you give; I could not do this job without you.
